EARLIE DEAN MALONE
1928 - 2015


“Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.” Proverbs 31:29
Earlie “Dean” Swafford Malone, 87 of Midwest City, died peacefully at home surrounded by family on March 25, 2015.
She was born March 15, 1928 in Clinton, Arkansas to Jimmie and Johnnie Swafford. Dean was the oldest of 6 children.
She met Virgil “Bud” Malone in Chickasha, Oklahoma and they married shortly after on March 2, 1946. They were married 58 years until Bud’s passing.
They were both stewards of God and served their church home, Nicoma Park First Baptist Church, for many years.
Dean’s passion was her love of flowers and the seeds that she planted will be reaped by many.
She also worked as a cook at Nicoma Park Junior High while her children attended school.
Dean was the epitome of a Southern Christian woman. Her faith was shown in everything she did. She was always there, helping, loving, praying, listening and leading by example.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bud; her son, Roy Glen; both parents and one brother, Jolly Swafford.
She is survived by her children, Roger and Carol Malone of Choctaw; Nancy and David Bane of Midwest City and Don and Kelly Malone of Choctaw; Sister and Best Friend Verva and Byron Gordon; and brothers, Bill and Lois Swafford, Faitce and Lucille Swafford, and Virgil and RosaLee Swafford; Grandchildren, Marcus and Janet Malone, Michael and Deana Malone, Matthew and Lisa Malone, Nick and Stefanie Malone, Kimberley and Brian Fairchild, Dustin and Lindsay Bane and Phillip and Tim Malone; Step grandchildren, Toby and Chelsea Dunlap, Misty and Nick Greenroyd and Karlyn and Josh Bacha; Great grandchildren, Colton Malone, Molly and Ian Malone, Bonnie, Matt, Joy and Ruby Malone, Madelyn and Connor Malone, Taylor Tolbert, Kacie and Brandon Fairchild, Claudia, Harper and Lars Bane; Step Great Grandchildren, Cole Dunlap, Lily Greenroyd and Jaxon Bacha and One Great Great Grandchild, Bryton Malone.

Funeral arrangements will be handled by Barnes & Friederich Funeral Home, 1820 S. Douglas.
Services will be held at Nicoma Park First Baptist Church, at 1931 Nichols Dr., officiated by Bro. Rick Sewell on March 27, 2015 at 1:00 pm.
Internment will be at Rossville Cemetery.
