JERRY LOUIS LORENZ
1950 - 2016


Jerry Louis Lorenz was born August 14, 1950 in Chandler, Oklahoma to Louis William and Velma Louise Schmidt Lorenz.
He passed away March 12, 2016 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 65.
Jerry grew up in Wellston where he graduated high school with the class of 1968.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cutting wood as well as raising chickens, ducks and dogs.
Jerry was an Underground Electrical Supervisor for Edmond Electric for many years until he retired.
He loved being with his friends but mostly loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Louis Lorenz; three brothers, John Lorenz, Roger Lorenz and Timmy Lorenz and nephew, Brennen Lorenz.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Vicki McWilliams Lorenz of the home; children, Tammy and her husband Tim Bond of Denton, Texas, Jerry Lorenz II and his wife Larissa of Jones; four grandchildren, Blake Bond, Chesney Bond, Kegan Lorenz and Karson Lorenz; one great-grandson, Hudson Bond; mother, Velma Lorenz of Wellston; sister, Christina Berry of Wellston; other family and many friends.
A funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with interment following in the Lutheran Cemetery in Wellston.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
