EUGENE FORREST LEWIS
1929 - 2011


Eugene Forrest Lewis was born April 30, 1929, in Kendrick, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Saturday, January 29, 2011, at his home in Chandler. He was 81 years old.
Eugene, the son of Dimple and Pearl Boykin Lewis, was a life-long Lincoln County resident.
He married Josephine Maxwell in 1949 in Chandler.
He worked in construction for many years.
He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Chandler.
Preceding him in death were his parents, two sons, one brother and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Josephine, of Chandler; four sons, Glen Lewis, Barry Lewis, Rodney Lewis and Bradley Lewis, all of Chandler; five daughters, Anita Garcia, Annetta Lewis and Marsha Lewis, all of Chandler and Tammy Lewis and Becki Roberts, both of Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Eugene is also survived by one brother, Don Lewis, of Denton, Texas; two sisters, Helen Glover of Chandler and Frances Suggs of Oklahoma City; thirteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and other family and friends.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 4, 2011, at Central Baptist Church in Chandler with the Rev. James E. Reed officiating.
Burial followed at Clearview Cemetery in Chandler under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
