ALFRED HENRY LESSMANN
1937 - 2014


Alfred Henry Lessmann, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, resident was born on November 21, 1937, in Independence, Kansas, and departed this life on March 6, 2014, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 76 years.
Alfred was the son of John and Emma Engelken Lessmann.
He served in the United States Army 187th Airborne Infantry Regiment, Signal Platoon, of the 101st Airborne Division, "Rakkasans".
Alfred married Georgia Beth Lane on November 27, 1976.
He worked as a truck driver for many years.
His parents, and wife, preceded Alfred in death.
Survivors include five sons, Larry Lessmann of Norman, Oklahoma; David Lessmann of Oklahoma City; Dan Lessmann of Oklahoma City; Dennis Lane of Forsythe, Missouri; Mike Lane of Ripley, Oklahoma; two daughters, Lori Lessmann of Oklahoma City; and Kim Sands of Westminster, Colorado; one brother Walter Lessmann of Pleasant Hill, California; two sisters, Mary Dunn of Pleasant Hill, California; and Esther Karner of Midwest City, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to: Our Sister's Closet, 2209 SW 74th St., OKC, OK 73159.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Chandler, Oklahoma, with Pastor Bruce Newby officiating.
Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
