IDA MAE LEAFTY
1941 - 2008


Ida Mae Leafty was born August 8, 1941, in Luther, Oklahoma and died Tuesday February 26, 2008, in Wellston, Oklahoma, at the age of 66.
She was the daughter of Edward Clyde and Jewell Watkins Leafty, was a resident of Meeker, Oklahoma and was a homemaker and a member of the Open Door Church in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Ashley Brian Danker; one brother; and three sisters.
Survivors include daughters, Kimila Hinkle and Kelly Hardy, both of Wellston and Karen Smithson of Meeker; one son, Ricky Danker of Wellston; brothers, Leonard Leafty of Wellston and Richard Leafty of San Antonio, Texas; sisters, Naomi Richter of Jones, Oklahoma; Leona Tiller of Shawnee, Mary Ellen Sackett of Webbers Falls and Cathy Wells of Oklahoma City; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 1, 2008, at the First Baptist Church in Wellston, with Brother Darrell Sullivan officiating.
Burial followed at Rossville Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
