CAROL JEAN LANE
1938 - 2010


Carol Jean Richardson Lane passed from this life on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at her home in Chandler, Oklahoma at the age of 72 years.
She was born on August 28, 1938 to the late Frank and Doris Richardson in Olathe, Colorado where she lived much of her young life.
Carol was later reared and educated in Agra, Oklahoma where she met the love of her life, Jerry E. Lane. The two were married on May 29, 1953 in Cushing, Oklahoma.
She spent most of her adult life being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and also worked for Oklahoma State University for 17 years. She retired for health reasons.
Carol was a devoted Christian and life-long member of the Perkins Church of the Firstborn.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Lane of Chandler; her four children, Roger E. Lane and wife Diane of Stillwater; Anita M. Lane of Moore; Jerry Neal Lane and wife Carla of Chandler; John B. Lane and wife Kelly of Justin, Texas; her grandchildren, Brandi Waits and husband Mark; Myka Lane; Jerry Dale Deering and wife Allison; James Deering and wife Stacie Deering; Alicia Lane; Garrett Lane; Katie Lane; Brenna Lane; Carson Lane and Gavin Lane; her great-grandchildren Tristan Deering, Daylen Deering, Zac Deering, Kyler Deering, Payton Deering, Lilliana Branson, Noah Branson, and Jackson Wait; her sisters Betty Hokit and Tina Butler of Olathe, Colorado; numerous nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by sister Linda Grimes, sister Joyce Green, and granddaughter Amanda Deering.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at the Perkins Church of the Firstborn in Perkins, Oklahoma.
Pastor Roger Lane and Scott Heddleston will officiate.
Interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery in Perkins, Oklahoma.
Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Perkins Church of the Firstborn Building Fund, 1223 S Rose Hollow Lane, Stillwater, Oklahoma 74074.
