RALPH RAY KINDER
1931 - 2007


Ralph Ray Kinder, long-time Tulsa, Oklahoma, resident, was born on September 5, 1931, in Carney, Oklahoma, and departed this life at his home in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on November 5, 2007, at the age of 76 years.
Ralph was the son of Joseph E. and Clara G. Starks Kinder.
He graduated from Carney High School at the age of 16 in 1947. He later joined the United States Air Force and achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant during the Korean War. Ralph retired as a letter carrier with the United States Postal Service after 34 years of service. A fourth generation Oklahoman and life-long cattle rancher, he never strayed far from his roots and maintained part of the original family farm throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Roy E. Kinder and his sister, Bertha F. Norris.
Survivors include one son, Ralph Kinder of Carney, Oklahoma; three daughters, Connie Hildabrand of San Antonio, Texas, Marilyn Burns of Wimberley, Texas and Angela Varcoe of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one brother, Jim Kinder of Carney, Oklahoma; one sister, Ruby Gaither of Cushing, Oklahoma; twelve grandchildren, five great-grandchildren as well as other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2007, 2:00 p.m., at the First Baptist Church in Carney, Oklahoma, with Rev. John Lay officiating.
Burial will follow at Carney Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
