GLEN W. KERBY
1925 - 2015


Glen W. Kerby passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2015 surrounded by his family.
He was born April 7, 1925, in Prague, the son of Joseph and Minnie Kerby.
He married Billie Jane Miller on September 30, 1946.
Glen worked for Hudiburg and later started Kerby Motor Company with his brother Edgar in Prague.
He was a member of the Prague Masons and a volunteer fireman for Prague Fire Station where he served as the Fire Chief for seven years.
Glen was ordained as a deacon and served at Prague Baptist Church and Immanuel Baptist Church in Shawnee.
He loved traveling, spending time in the yard, and helping everyone - whether working on cars or being the handyman. He knew and appreciated every car on the road.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Billie Jane; two brothers and four sisters.
He is survived by three children, Janice Melton of Phoenix, Arizona; Glenda Alexander and husband Dale of Oklahoma City; and Brian Kerby and wife Jana of Piedmont; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren; brother, Carl Wayne Kerby and wife Lenora of Mustang; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 31, at Immanuel Baptist Church with Dr. Todd Fisher officiating.
Burial will follow at Prague Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church Building Fund or Harbour Light Hospice.
