KENNETH WAYNE JOHNSON
1938 - 2014


Kenneth Wayne Johnson was born July 17, 1938 in rural Stroud which is now Kendrick, Oklahoma.
His parents were James Henry Johnson and Virgie Ann Cornett.
He passed away January 21, 2014 in his home in Sparks, Oklahoma at the age of 75.
Kenneth worked and retired from the Oklahoma Department of Transportation as Lincoln County Supervisor for over 25 years. Prior to that Kenneth was a pipeline supervisor for distribution construction company for over 20 years.
The time he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren fishing, hunting and camping made his life complete.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Martha Lou Johnson; daughter-in-law, Yvette Throne Johnson; granddaughter, Tiffany Johnson; great-granddaughter, Brooklen Johnson; sister, Edith Helm; infant twin sister, Betty Johnson; and brother-in-law, William “Bub” Foster.
Survivors include his three sons, Larry and wife Lydia Johnson of Chandler; Jerry and wife Julie Johnson of Chandler; Mitcheal and wife Loree Johnson of Sparks; daughter, Nancy and husband Carl Schoenecke of Sparks; sister, Wanda Faye Foster; brother, James and wife Anne Johnson of Davenport; sister, Sandy and husband Max Haines of Ponca City; fifteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends.
A graveside funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the White Dove Cemetery in Sparks.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
