DARLENE JENKINS
1943 - 2008


Darlene Jenkins, age 64 of Cushing, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2008 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
She was born on December 8, 1943 in Stroud, Oklahoma to William “Curt” and Virginia Mae Loyd Jenkins.
She grew up in Stroud and graduated from Stroud High School in 1961.
Darlene had attended the First Assembly of God in Stroud. She enjoyed listening to Gospel and easy listening music, loved visiting on the phone with her cousin Vera Clark and aunt Wilma Shutler as well as other relatives and friends.
She will also be remembered for being able to play the piano by ear.
She is survived by many relatives and friends including her sister, Marilyn Jenkins of Cushing.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Curt and Virginia.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 28, 2008 at the First Assembly of God, Stroud, Oklahoma. Rev. Don Wilburn will officiate.
Interment will follow at the Stroud Cemetery, Stroud, Oklahoma.
Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing.
