JESSE F. JAMES JR.
1933 - 2012


Jesse F. James, Jr. was born November 25, 1933 in Chandler, Oklahoma and passed away at home with his family on March 19 at 2:48 a.m. at 78 years old.
He was the son of Jesse James, Sr. and Sarah Stidham James.
He graduated from Chandler High School in 1951 and joined the Army in 1956.
He met his wife, Alice, July 1958 and they were married in May of 1959. They would have celebrated 53 years of marriage this May.
Jesse worked in the oil field for forty years following the Army. Once retired he enjoyed running the dozer, raising cattle, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his infant brother; his parents; brothers, Fredde and Glen and his sister, Mary Wilkins.
He leaves behind his wife, Alice; children, Donald and Regina James; Dale and Michelle James; Larry and Karen James; Floyd and Linda Alexander; sixteen grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Jesse was loved by all and will be missed.
The James family will be present at the funeral home welcoming friends for a come-and-go reception from 6:00-8:00 p. m. Wednesday March 21.
His funeral will be at 2:00 p. m. Thursday, March 22, 2012 at the Missionary Baptist Church of Wellston with interment following at the Star Valley Cemetery under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
