BOBBY LEE HURST
1943 - 2014


Bobby Lee Hurst was born in Harrah, Oklahoma August 25, 1943 to Ray Wilbur Hurst and Amanda Elva Ulrich Hurst.
He passed away in Shawnee, Oklahoma May 29, 2014 at the age of 70.
Bobby was a homesteader and longtime resident of Warwick.
He was a heavy equipment operator and played blues country on his guitar.
Bobby enjoyed sitting in the shade drinking ice tea and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Amanda; two sisters, Bonnie {Hurst} Rattray, Marie {Hurst} Kimbell; and two brothers, Billy Gene Hurst, and R. J. Hurst.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Evelyn Edith {Robinson} Hurst, of the home; children, Cindy Bottger of Sweetwater, Texas; Bobby Ray Hurst of Oklahoma City; Brad Lee Hurst of Warwick; five grandchildren and one on the way; Carrie Bottger, Krista Hendrix and Jessica Pope all of Sweetwater, Texas; Hayden Bradlee Hurst and Emerson Jane “EJ” Marie Hurst both of Warwick; three great-grandchildren, Weston Gene Hendrix, Hayleigh Joe Marie Hendrix and Jeweleigh Ann Marie Hendrix all of Sweetwater, Texas; siblings, Don Hurst of Shawnee, Peggy Jo {Hurst} Hopkins of Warwick; and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends who will miss him dearly.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at the Lehman Funeral Home in Wellston.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
