DANIEL POWELL HUNT
1956 - 2012


Daniel "Dan" Powell Hunt, 55, of Carney, Oklahoma, was the son of Edwin Elver and Goldie Mae Powell Hunt.
He was born on September 21, 1956 in Cushing, Oklahoma and died Sunday, January 29, 2012 at the Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
He worked at Tinker Air Force Base as an environmental engineer since 1992. Dan enjoyed being outdoors, some of his favorite outdoor hobbies included elk hunting and trout fishing in Montana. He also enjoyed knife and gun collecting.
Dan will be remembered as a hard working, fun loving brother and uncle who enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by one brother, Ed Hunt and his wife, Lou Ann from Perry, Oklahoma; two step nieces, Jennifer Simpson and April Webb both from Perry, Oklahoma and one step nephew, Ross Webb from Perry, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents, his paternal grandparents and his maternal grandparents.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at the Carney Cemetery in Carney, Oklahoma. Gerald Stewart will officiate. Services are under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home in Perry.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice in care of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, Oklahoma 73077.
