1934 - 2012


J. R. Hudson, age 77, of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed away February 4, 2012. He was born May 12, 1934, in Carney, Oklahoma.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby, of the home; one son, Johnny Ray Hudson and wife, Wendy, of Del City; three daughters, Connie Cottrell and husband Ronnie, of Luther; Debbie Culp, of Carney, Oklahoma; step daughter, Sharon Lemons, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; step son, Randy Wall, of Oklahoma City; brother, William Ray Hudson, of Edmond, Oklahoma; three sisters, Norma Pugh, of Oklahoma City; Shirley Best, of Edmond, Oklahoma; and Phylliss Donnell Whitlow, of Edmond, Oklahoma; brother, Glen Hudson, of Oklahoma City; sixteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and a multitude of other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, William Chester Hudson; Tessie Maggie Hudson; daughter, Sandy Danker; sisters, Jule Hudson and Lois Anderson; brother in laws, Johnny Whitlow, Floyd {Toed} Anderson, and Norman "Bud" Best; nephew, Norman {Ford} Reno; grandson, Corbin Straley; step son, Glenn Wall; and son in law, Mike Culp.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 9, 2012, at the Assembly of God church in Carney, Oklahoma.
Interment to follow at Carney Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel of Moore, Oklahoma.
