LINDA SUE HOWARD
1951 - 2014


Linda Sue Smothers Howard, Parkland, Oklahoma, resident was born on December 14, 1951, in Magnolia, Arkansas, and departed this life Saturday, August 23, 2014, at her home in Parkland, at the age of 62 years.
Linda was the daughter of James Thomas "Gramps" and Addie "Dink" Butler Smothers.
She married Gary Howard on June 26, 1970, in McNeil, Arkansas.
Linda graduated from Langston University with a degree in teaching. She taught at Cushing Middle School for eighteen plus years.
Her parents, one brother, and one sister preceded Linda in death.
Survivors include her husband of forty four years, Gary of the home; one son, Jessie Howard of Stillwater, Oklahoma; one brother, O. D. Smothers of Little Rock, Arkansas; three sisters, Ethel Baker of Kellyville, Oklahoma, Cleta Pressley of Paris, Arkansas and Mary Ann Sago of Cushing, Oklahoma; one grandson, Justin Howard of Parkland; other relatives and many friends.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 25, 2014, at Parkland Cemetery, Parkland, Oklahoma, with Robbie Gaches officiating.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
