ALTON EARL HOOVER
1922 - 2007


Alton Earl Hoover, retired truck driver, passed away on Friday, August 17, 2007 in the Drumright Hospital at the age of 85 years.
The son of the late Ralph Elmo Hoover and Esther Goodman Hoover, Earl was born on July 4, 1922 in Cushing and was reared and educated in the Cushing, Agra and Parkland area.
He was united in marriage to Violet Overacker on October 3, 1941 in Visalia, California and she preceded him in death on November 1, 1988.
Earl is survived by his children, Beulah Wright of Cushing; Ralph Hoover of Agra; Alton Hoover of Tahlequah; and Joyce Flud of Cushing; one brother Dale Hoover of Tulare, California; fifteen grandchildren; twenty five great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by four brothers; one sister and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 20, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the Parkland Church of the First Born with Brother Bruce Sisson in charge.
Serving as casket bearers will be Randy Flud, Robbie Flud, Bruce Wright, Johnny Hoover, Rex Wright and Brandon Flud.
Burial will follow in the Parkland Cemetery.
