ALVIS HOLLAND
1931 - 2000


Alvis "Pete" Holland was born in Okemah, Oklahoma on January 20, 1931 and departed this life in Eufaula, Oklahoma on April 8, 2000.
He was 69 years of age.
Pete was the son of Floyd Holland and Lottie Farris Holland.
He graduated from Prague High School with the class of 1950.
He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He was an auditor and office manager for Kirby Smith in Oklahoma City.
He was married to Shirley Hensley on June 4, 1955.
He was a member of Putnam City Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Holland, of the home; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Keith and Linda Holland, Plano, Texas; and Jeff Holland , London, England; one daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Jerry Lewis, Norman, Oklahoma; his mother, Lottie Holland, Oklahoma City; four brothers and their wives, Elvin Holland, Louisiana; John and Betty Holland, Wilburton, Oklahoma; Leo and Karen Holland, Midwest City, Oklahoma; and Bobby and Dorthy Holland, Alabama; one sister and her husband, Ruth & Bob Suggs, Midwest City, Oklahoma; his mother-in-law, Jewel Hensley White, Prague; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m. in the Putnam City Baptist Church with the Rev. Max Alexander officiating.
David Holland will officiate at the interment, which will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Prague Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague.
