MARY JANE HOCKMEYER
1938 - 1996


Funeral services for Mary Jane Greenwood Hockemeyer, 57, of Cushing were March 27, 1996, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Avery with interment following in the church cemetery. Pastor Dan Breunsbach officiated. Services were under the direction of Palmer Funeral Home of Cushing.
Mary Jane was born December 29, 1938, in Cushing to Ed and Lona Hayes Greenwood.
She lived most of her life in the Cushing area.
She was married to William Hockemeyer on April 12, 1958 in Cushing.
A homemaker, she was secretary and treasurer for the NE Lincoln County Fire District, served on the Lincoln County Election Board for Precinct 4 and was a member of the Dorcas Society of the Immanuel Lutheran Church. She died on Sunday, March 24, 1996 in Avery.
Survivors include her husband William "Bill" Hockemeyer of Cushing; son, George W. Hockemeyer of Cushing; daughter and son in law, Jamie and Paul Glasby of Quay; brothers Ben Greenwood of Oklahoma City and Fred Greenwood of Cordell; sisters, Edrodean Jones of Oklahoma City and Esther LeVine of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three grandchildren, William Paul, Mary Beth and Carrie Jo Glasby, all of Quay.
Mrs. Hockemeyer was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and two brothers.
