TERRI ANN HERRMANN
1922 - 2009

Terri Ann Peyton Herrmann, age 45 of Tryon, passed away on November 16, 2011 at her home in Tryon.
She began her life in Indianapolis, Indiana on May 25, 1966.
She was born to Marshall and Fay Peyton. Her siblings were Rosie Stokes and husband Jim; Kim Walters and husband Curtis; Denise Taylor and husband Jeff and Jeff Peyton and wife Sue.
As time passed the family moved to Texas. In 1978, Fay decided to move to Parkland to live. Alva drove his farm truck to Converse and loaded up their belongings. Terri Ann was 12 years old, and made the trip to Oklahoma in the truck where her family became very much a part of the Herrmann family.
Her grandmother Josephine Ratliff came to spend the last months of her life living with them and going to church.
In 1981 when she was 15 years old, Terry Lee and Terri Ann were married in a small log church at Silver Dollar City. She fit perfectly in the Herrmann family and was dearly loved by them all.
Their first home was the old home place of Eldon and Lois Jacobs where they ran a dairy for several years. When she was 17, their son Trenton Lee was born, a busy little boy, followed by Megan with lots of dark hair, then Seth with mischievous eyes and a big bright smile. Terri Ann was a wonderful mother to her children and such a great helper and companion for Terry Lee.
Their 30 years of marriage hold many precious memories; she was baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn and gave herself striving to be acceptable.
Many the beds she made and meals prepared for visiting teenagers and brethren from all around. Always tried to make you feel welcome.
Terri was such a bright spot and a big helper for Grandma Bonnie, ready to do whatever needed done, often went to have coffee with her of a morning or spend the night because Grandma was afraid.
Terri was there when many of the sisters babies were born, a quiet and willing helper.
Her and Terry Lee learned to scuba dive and made several trips to the ocean.
She was so eager to be a grandma and happy when all three of her children were baptized and found companions in the faith. Trenton married Sunny Fye; Megan chose Justin Nelson; and Seth and Amanda Benavidez.
Through her last years Terri Ann showed us it can be done, to hold only to God’s hand and the prize at the end.
When she passed away she was in her mother's arms, surrounded by loved ones and made the crossing so easy, we didn’t know exactly when it was.
The last card she received in the mail had written “you are gonna win” and we feel like she did.
Funeral services will be Saturday, November 19, 2011 at the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn in Parkland. Brother Randall Wright and Brother Gerald Jackson will officiate.
Interment will follow at Parkland Cemetery, Parkland, Oklahoma.
Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing.
