ELVIS DANIEL HERRMANN
1928 - 2016


Elvis Daniel Herrmann, long-time Parkland, Oklahoma, resident was born September 4, 1928, in Chandler, Oklahoma, and departed this life February 10, 2016, in Stroud, Oklahoma, at the age of 87 years.
Elvis was the son Daniel and Maud Greenfield Herrmann.
He was baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn when he was 18 years old.
Elvis married Ruth Herrmann on October 31, 1948. To this union was born, Calvin, Bud, Arlene, Evelyn, Roxanne and Jimmy. They were married for 34 years until her death in 1983.
In 1993, he married Margie Machado and became the step-father to Helen, Susan, Eddie, Sylvia, Andrew, Alfred and Ricky.
Elvis worked as a farmer, general contractor and electrician for many years. He built the Herrmann Pond that his family and the whole community enjoyed.
His parents, first wife, Ruth Herrmann; stepson, Ricky Machado; four sisters, Freda James, Deloris Rodgers, Edna Gladden and Marie Morris; four brothers, Jimmy, Doyle, Redford and Julius Herrmann preceded Elvis in death.
Survivors include, his wife, Margie Herrmann of the home; three sons, Calvin, Bud and Jimmy Herrmann all of Parkland; three daughters, and sons-in-law, Arlene and Ron Valliquette of Plano, Texas; Evelyn and Terry Myers of Cushing, Oklahoma; Roxanne and Mike Gartman of Guthrie, Oklahoma; stepchildren, Helen and Nasario Benavidez of Tahoka, Texas; Susan Washburn of Cushing, Oklahoma; Eddie Machado of Arapaho, Oklahoma; Sylvia Machado of New Braunfels, Texas; Andrew Machado of Davenport, Oklahoma; Alfred and Dana Machado of Parkland, Oklahoma; brothers and sisters-in-law, Arnold and Rozelle Herrmann of Chandler, and Modis and Lenora Herrmann of Grand Jet, Colorado; 41 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 13, 2016, at Parkland Church of the Firstborn, Parkland, Oklahoma, with Brother Tony Imry, and Brother Dorman Rodgers officiating.
Burial will follow at Parkland Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
