OTHEL CLARENCE HERRING
1928 - 2016


Othel Clarence Herring, long-time Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born November 26, 1928, in Avery, Oklahoma, and departed this life April 3, 2016, at his home in Chandler, at the age of 87 years.
Othel was the son of Leslie and Myrtle Crail Herring.
He married Raydonia Hull on November 19, 1953, in Durant, Oklahoma.
Othel worked as the water superintendent for the City of Chandler for 32 years.
His parents, three sisters, and eight brothers, preceded Othel in death.
Survivors include his wife of sixty two years, Raydonia; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Tonya Herring of Chandler, Ray and Jamie Herring of Chandler; one daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Jerry Schiller of Shawnee, Oklahoma; one sister, Rita Tanner of Agra, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 7, 2016, at the First United Methodist Church in Chandler, with Rev. Allen Carson officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery.
Service are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
