GEORGE WESLEY HENLEY
1950 - 2014


George Wesley Henley of Tryon, Oklahoma passed away on April 29, 2014 at the age of 63.
George was born December 3, 1950 in Wilson, Oklahoma to Francis and Christine Morrow Henley.
He grew up in Tryon, Oklahoma and graduated from Carney High School in 1969.
George join the United States Air Force in 1969 and George married the love of this life Patsy McIntire on December 15, 1973, to this union three daughters were born, Sandi, Pepper and Misty.
He loved his family and his grandchildren, he also like to fish with his cousin Harold, and he also wanted to fish and boat with Misty. George made it well known he was the BOSS.
George was a big Sooner Fan and loved watching them and the Dallas Cowboys. He loved spending time watching sports with all of his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Henley of the home; mother, Christine Henley of Stillwater; three daughters, Sandi Henley of Stillwater, Pepper Henley of Perkins and Misty Wright and husband, Jesse of Perkins; six grandchildren, Cody Henley, Trey Wallace, Shelbi Wallace, Cheyenne Wright, Colton Henley and Austin Wright; nephews, Joey and Bobby Henley and numerous family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Francis Henley, one brother, Bob Henley and one sister, Linda Henley.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the First Baptist Church, in Perkins, Oklahoma. The Rev. Rick Alexander will officiate.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Perkins.
Visitation will be held at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel of Perkins on Friday, May 2, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the family greeting friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial contributions be made in George’s name to the American Cancer Society in care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home 5106 N. Washington. Stillwater, Oklahoma 74075.
