He later joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a member of the San Clemente First Ward.
Wayne and his family moved to San Clemente in 1972.
Wayne enjoyed hunting, playing golf and spending time with family and friends. Everyone who knew Wayne will miss his great sense of humor and listening as he told the stories of his life and experiences. He will be remembered as a loving husband and father, a dear and loyal friend, and a generous soul by all who knew him.
Funeral services were held on March 6, 2010 in San Clemente.
