FELSA MARIE MARTIN HASTINGS
1914 - 2016


Felsa Marie Westfall Martin Hastings, 101, passed away on January 26, 2016, at Timberlane Grace Living Center, Edmond, Oklahoma.
Felsa was born on July 2, 1914 to Grover and Margaret Jane Hall Westfall in Elm Store, Arkansas in Randolph County.
She married Theodore James Martin on July 30, 1930 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. They lived south of Perkins, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in 1957 in Perkins, Oklahoma.
Felsa married Joe H. Hastings on May 6, 1961 in Perkins, Oklahoma. They lived on the family farm in Perkins, until moving into town in 1970. Joe Hastings died January 25, 1987.
Anyone who knew Felsa knew her loves were her family, faith, and the town of Perkins, Oklahoma. She was very proud of her family and she loved nothing more than to be surrounded by them by hosting meals at her home.
Felsa was a past employee and Director of Payne County Bank in Perkins and was inducted into the Oklahoma Bankers Association’s 50-Year Club during their Awards Dinner held on June 12, 2007. She was extremely proud of her association with Payne County Bank and serving for many years after her retirement on their Board of Directors.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Othel, Morgan, Ted, Russell and Phillip Westfall; four sisters, Betty Jean and Nelly June Westfall, Leta Sue Rusco and Eva Lee LaFollette; one stepson, Larry Hastings and one step-grandson, Robert Fairley.
Felsa is survived by step-daughter, Eloise Tripplett and her husband, Ricky, son, Darrell Fairley, his wife, Becky, and their son, Bobby Joe; as well as by step-daughter-in-law, Jean Hastings, her daughters, Kelly Sue and Deena Jo, and Deena Jo’s son, Addison; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Perkins.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 29, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Perkins with interment following at Carney Cemetery.
Public visitation will be held on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the family greeting guests at the funeral home in Perkins from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Tribute Program in care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home 5106 N. Washington. Stillwater,Oklahoma 74075.
