HALBERT LYNDAL HART
1931 - 2016


Halbert Lyndal Hart, 85, of Agra, Oklahoma went to be with the Lord on September 30, 2016.
Lyndal was born February 6, 1931 to Roscoe and Nettie Hart in Agra, Oklahoma. He graduated from Tryon High School in 1950.
Lyndal spent many years in the oil and gas industry, working for Deep Rock Refinery, Kerr McGee Refinery and Texaco Cities Service Pipeline, all in Cushing. After leaving Texaco Cities Service, he worked ten years at Oklahoma State University in the maintenance department before retiring in 1995. He took great pride in his work, but his true passion was caring for his cattle.
Lyndal was a member of the Agra United Methodist Church where he served in several leadership positions. He also served on the Agra Public Schools Board of Education, the Osage Cemetery Board of Directors and various other community organizations.
Lyndal was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers - Merrill and Cleo, and two sisters - Thelma and Eloise.
Lyndal is survived by daughter, Linda Palkowski and her husband John of Broken Arrow, son, Philip of Agra, grandson, Cody Brooks of Houston, and granddaughter, Jaycee Palkowski of Broken Arrow. He is survived by two brothers, Verlin and Merton, both of Oklahoma.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Maler Funeral Home.
Services will be held on Tuesday, October 4 at 2:00 p.m. at Palmer and Marler Funeral Home, 800 S. Linwood, Cushing, Oklahoma.
Interment to follow at Osage Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 3, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Osage Cemetery, P.O. Box 155, Agra, OK 74824, Attn. Sue Chestnut.
