ROBERT WILLIAM HARRIS
1932 - 2001


Shawnee resident Robert William "Bob" Harris died Sunday in his home at the age of 68.
He was born December 3, 1932, in Meeker to Thomas P. and Lydia D. Green Harris.
He was married to Vinita Campbell.
He moved from Choctaw to Shawnee thirteen years ago and he was a house mover.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife Vinita of the home; a son, Bobby William Harris of Shawnee; four sisters, Doris Johnson of Bethel; Iva Mae Rimer of Earlsboro; Naomi Sue Hartwell of Davis; and Shirley Louise Rimer of Aydelotte; six brothers, Jack Harris of Shawnee; Ed Harris of Meeker; John Harris of Tecumseh; Carl Victor Harris of Ada; Carol Wayne Harris of Meeker and Sammy Loyd Harris of Choctaw; five step children, Loretta Mikeska of Shawnee; Bonita Mikeska of Ada; Robert Thomas of Del City; James Thomas of Shawnee; and Gary Thomas of Del City; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Hazel Dell Baptist Church with the Rev. Montie Campbell officiating.
Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery of Meeker under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Prague.
Viewing and visitation will be at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Meeker until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday.
