WANDA LUCILLE HALE
1914 - 2012


Wanda Lucille Bean Hale, Parkland resident, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2012 in the Linwood Village Nursing home at the age of 97 years.
Lucille was born on September 24, 1914 near Clarksville, Arkansas. She was the daughter of George G. and Jessie E. Dobbins Bean.
She came to Oklahoma with her parents at the age of 13.
She was united in marriage to Leslie E. “Jake” Hale, of Parkland, on October 4, 1932 in Kingfisher, Oklahoma. Jake preceded her in death on August 8, 1991.
Lucille was baptized into The General Assembly and Church of The Firstborn on October 1, 1961 at Parkland by Brother Louis Wright.
She was a homemaker and worked with her husband on the farm for many years. The couple made their home in the Parkland and Agra areas.
December 23, 1996 she moved to Checotah, Oklahoma living there for several years before returning to this area.
Survivors include four sisters, Nima Jo Quinn, Wilma Robinson and Patsy Ruth Crocker, all of California; and Wanda Weed of Yerington, Nevada; several nieces, nephews, Brethren and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lucille was preceded in death by two sisters, Jean Rigney of California; and Louise “Lovett” Flud of Checotah; and one brother, Gerald D. “Jerry” Bean of Checotah.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Parkland Cemetery with Brother Dewayne Hale officiating.
