CHARLES HANFORD HACKWORTH
1917 - 2011


Charles Hanford "Hank" Hackworth was born September 23, 1917, in Pocahontas, Arkansas, and died Saturday, May 28, 2011, at his home in Carney. He was 93 years old.
The son of Noah and Della Sadler Hackworth, he married Esther Davis on October 14, 1939, in Chandler.
He worked as a mechanic and was a charter member of First Assembly of God Church in Chandler.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife and four sisters.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Victoria and Melvin Gilliam of Carney; one grandson and his wife; one sister and brother-in-law, Ina and Wilford Boling of Lindsay, Oklahoma; one brother and sister-in-law, Don and Faye Hackworth of Agra; and other family and friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at First Assembly of God Church in Tryon with the Rev. Lorn Starling officiating.
Burial followed at Carney Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
