LENA CYPRET GULLICK
1915 - 2011


Lena Hackworth Cypret Gullick, 95, died on January 8, 2011 in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Lena was born on September 30, 1915 to Noah Coram Hackworth and Della Sadler Hackworth in Oregon County, Missouri.
She married James Willard Cypret on December 8, 1938 in Chandler, Oklahoma.
She attended schools in Oregon county, Missouri and Lincoln county, Oklahoma.
She was a housekeeper in the OSU dorms for thirteen years, worked at the bakery in the Student Union for eight years and worked at City Drug Store for five years.
She attended church at Calvary Assembly of God and was active in the Women’s Church Group, Bible Study Group, Home League and Quilting at Roxie Weber.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, an infant daughter, two granddaughters and a great-grandson. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Ted and Leroy Cypret and three sisters, Reva Martin, Pauline Tyler and Ruth Schmidt.
Lena is survived by her two sons, Larry Cypret and wife Fay; Ray Cypret and wife Margaret; and two daughters Goldie Hockett and husband Gary; and Peggy Johnson and daughter-in-law Katherine Cypret. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren as well as two brothers Hanford and Donald Hackworth and sister Ina Boling.
Her funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Strode Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lorn Starling officiating.
Interment will follow at Carney Cemetery.
Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
