JO ANN GRIMES
1935 - 2015


Jo Ann "Jodie" Grimes was born on September 23, 1935, in Prague, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Monday, November 30, 2015, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 80.
Jodie, the daughter of Merrill and Mary Agnes Brezny Grimes, was a resident of Pauls Valley.
She earned a bachelor’s degree at the Oklahoma College for Woman and a master’s degree in speech pathology at the University of Kansas. She worked as a speech pathologist at the Pauls Valley State School.
Jodie enjoyed fishing, playing the trumpet, polka music, and listening to records, especially Reba McEntire.
Jodie’s mother and sister, Norma Jean King preceded her in death.
Survivors include nieces and nephews, Mike and Jody Pendleton of Yukon, Kris and Cindy Jones of Chandler and Shannon and Dawn King of Yukon; many great nieces and nephews, other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Prague with Father Phan Long officiating.
Interment will follow at the Prague Catholic Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
