MARY LaDAWN GRIFFIN
1931 - 2000


Mary LaDawn Floyd Griffin, Meeker, died Tuesday in Midwest City. She was 68.
Mrs. Griffin was born December 30, 1931, in McLoud, to William "Bill" and Lillie Ida Gilbreth Floyd.
She married Melvin Griffin on November 19, 1948, in Meeker.
She had retired from Tinker Air Force Base.
Mrs. Griffin was a member of Mammoth Baptist Church and the Jacktown Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her son, Melvin Leon "Sandy" Griffin; a grandson, William Randel "Randy" Griffin; parents, William and Lillie Floyd; and a sister, Nora Belle Barnhart.
Survivors include her husband, Melvin Griffin, of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Rita Griffin, Newalla; James and Eugenia Griffin, Wellston; three daughters and sons-in-law, Ginger and Gary Gee, Shawnee; Sherri and Steve Courtemanche, Harrah; Terri and Dean Hayhurst, Newalla; a brother, William Floyd, Tecumseh; three sisters, Jacklyn Floyd and Louise Hall, both of Meeker; Betty Davis, Seminole; twelve grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 1 p.m. today until noon Thursday, at Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Meeker.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Mammoth Baptist Church, north of Jacktown, with the Rev. Joseph Sinko officiating.
Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery, Meeker.
