PATRICIA IMOGENE GRAY
1924 - 2015


Patricia Imogene Camren Gray, Cushing resident, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2015 in Cushing at the age of 90 years.
The daughter of the late Elmer Camren and Etta May Matthews Camren, Pat was born on May 12, 1924 at her family’s home in Agra.
She was raised and educated in Agra, graduating from Agra High School with the class of 1942.
Pat was united in marriage to Hulbert Henry Gray on August 20, 1945 in Harrison, Arkansas and the couple had resided in Agra, farming and running a dairy farm, until his passing in January 2000. To this union six children, Carol, Gail, Shirley, Gerald, Bobby and Johnny, were born.
Pat was a former member of the Agra Church of the Firstborn and a current member of the First Baptist Church in Cushing.
She enjoyed quilting, needlepoint, working word search puzzles, dancing, shopping and will be especially remembered for her wonderful cooking. She also enjoyed spending time at the Cushing and Agra Senior Citizen centers. Earlier this month, Pat had been honored as the Grand Marshall of the Agra Alumni Parade.
Survivors include her children, Carol Beaumont and her husband, Derrek of Drumright; Gail Brown and her husband, Carl of Cushing; Shirley Ward and her husband Steve, of Cushing; Gerald Gray of Enid; Bobby Gray of Cushing; and Johnny Gray of Cushing; one sister, Billie Wright of Cushing; fourteen grandchildren, Billy Moody, J.J. Dooley and his wife, Angela; Mandi Alexander, Destiney Gray, Tricia Buttram and her husband Tim; Christy Matheson and her husband Dennis; Amy Yaunt and her husband Jason; Ashley Cote and her husband Arin; Shane Gray, Dylon Gray, Colton Gray, Zachary Gray and his wife Raquel; Jessica Black and her husband Trent; and Chance Gray; fifteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends, including special friend & companion, Henry Jolley of Cushing and his loving family, Gerald & Paula Jolley.
In addition to her parents and husband, Pat was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Delores Ann, and seven brothers, Pres, Ellis, Fred, Leonard, Leon, Audie and Cecil; and three sisters, Bernice McGee, Eva Reedy and Maxine Murray.
Funeral services will be Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church.
Burial will follow in the Parkland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cushing Senior Citizen Center or to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, in her memory.
