L. L. GOUKER
1915 - 2000


L. L. "Shorty" Gouker died Sunday in Vinita. He was 84.
He was born September 28, 1915, in Meeker.
He was the son of Earnest Samuel and Cora Roller Gouker.
He was a resident of Adair and he lived most of his life in the Meeker area.
He was a member of the Family of Faith Fellowship and was a retired heavy equipment operator and dirt construction foreman.
Shorty married Lousetta Mae DeMoney on December 1, 1939 in Okemah.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one daughter, Mary Louise Woody.
Survivors include his wife, Lousetta Gouker of the home, Adair; one daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Dennis DeLozier of Adair; one brother, Harold Gouker of Meeker; two sisters, Corine Gouker of Chandler and Alene Grubaugh of Meeker; two grandsons, Darren DeLozier of Adair and Devin DeLozier of Adair.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. today at the Family of Faith Fellowship, south of Meeker. Dr. Sam Matthews will officiate.
Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague.
Viewing and visitation will be at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Meeker until noon today. The casket will be closed during the services.
