TERRANCE LEE GILLILAND
1951 - 2013


Terrance Lee "Terry" Gilliland was born on June 26, 1951, in Franklin, Pennsylvania, and departed this life on Thursday, May 16, 2013, in McAlester, Oklahoma, at the age of 61.
Terry, the son of Seldo and Frances McKee Gilliland, was a resident of Stuart, Oklahoma.
He owned a small engine repair business.
Terry was the head of the Hughes County firefighter's tax board and served over 20 years with the Stuart Fire Department, 18 of which were as chief, and he served as head of the Hughes County Fire and Safety Association.
His parents, brother-in-law, Brad Bradburn, and an infant brother, Brian, preceded Terry in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Serena Gilliland of Stuart, son, Jim VanTreas of El Cajon, California, one sister, Jean Bradburn of Prague, companion, Kathy Atkinson of Stuart, nephew, Loren Bradburn of Troutman, North Carolina and special friends, Carl Jeffcoat, Charles Doan, Bobby Justice, Sr. and Adam Tweedel.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Kellerby Cemetery with Rev. John Roberts officiating.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Prague, Oklahoma.
