MYRTLE MARIE GILBERT

Myrtle Marie Gilbert was born in Maud, Oklahoma on July 31, 1942 and departed this life in Stroud, Oklahoma on Monday, January 16, 2017 at the age of 74 years.

Myrtle was a the daughter of Vester T. and Katie M. (Woodring) Baker. She was a resident of Stroud and was raised Baptist. She was a caregiver at heart and tried to help anybody and everybody. Myrtle married Barney Gilbert in 1980 and he preceded her in death in 2014. She was also preceded in death by her parents, husband and five brothers.

Survivors include, two sons, Myron Emmons Jr. & wife Becky of Elk City, Paul Emmons of Gypsy, four daughters, Becky Tuttle & husband Mark of Stroud, Wendy Bennett & husband Danny of Prague, Janet Niemann & husband Jeff of Ft. Worth, TX, Summer Hogue & husband Mike of Stroud, one brother, Dannie Baker of Flordia, four sisters, Ruby Taylor of TX, Mary Jo Perryman of Prague, Barbara VanDusen of Prague, Brenda McHone of Prague, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Memorial service will be held at a later date.
