WILMA HOOVER GAYLORD
1922 - 2015


Wilma Hoover Gaylord, long-time Chandler, Oklahoma resident was born on June 9, 1922 in Sparks, Oklahoma and departed this life on May 1, 2015 in Meeker, Oklahoma at the age of 92 years.
Wilma was the daughter of David and Sadie Sherman Hoover.
She married Ardyce Gaylord on January 11, 1973, in Chandler.
Wilma worked at the Tag Office for many years and was of the Baptist Faith.
Her parents, husband, one son, George; one step-son, Donnie Gaylord; one sister and seven brothers preceded Wilma in death.
Survivors include three brothers, Leamon Hoover, David Hoover, and Dale Hoover all of Chandler; three sisters, Peggy Caldwell, Dorothy Thronesberry, and Judy Morningstar all of Chandler; one step-daughter, Linda Bates of Texas; one step-daughter in-law, Billie Gaylord of Davenport; five grandchildren, Kathy, Ricky, Karen, Chuck; and Nikita; six step-grandchildren, Clint, Brad, Grant, Cynthia, Nona and Jason; numerous great, and great-great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May, 6, 2015, at Parks Brothers Chapel in Chandler, with Rev. Ron Keeling and Rev. Donnie Huff officiating.
Burial will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
