JEWELL DARLENE GARROUTTE
1944 - 2016


Jewell Darlene O'Dell Garroutte was born September 5, 1944 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Harold LeRoy and Winnie James Behrens. She passed away October 16, 2016 in Stillwater, Oklahoma at the age of 72.
Darlene never met a stranger. She was great with all children and treated other people’s children just as great as her own. She was always happy and got along great with everyone.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Babe and Winnie Odell and brothers, Walter Odell, Sam Odell and Larry Odell.
Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Wayne Garroutte of the home, children, Danny Fritts of Shawnee, Donny Fritts of Harrah, Darla Wilson of Little Axe, Kimberly Fine of Oklahoma City and Beverley Anderson of Texas, numerous grandchildren and many other family and friends.
There will be a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 21, 2016 at First Assembly of God Church in Carney followed by a gathering to celebrate Darlene’s life at 2:00 at the Carney Asada Restaurant.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
