RUTH MAE GALLAHER
1906 - 1997


Longtime Wellston resident Ruth Mae McCoy Gallaher died Friday in Indianola, Iowa. She was 91.
She was born August 5, 1906, in Chandler, the daughter of James M. and Mary E. Wayland McCoy.
She was a longtime resident of Wellston before moving to Iowa two years ago.
She was a member of the Oklahoma Retired Teachers Association.
Survivors include her son, James Robie McFarland of Tryon; her daughter, Lorena Bollin of Indianola, Iowa; two brothers, Jim McCoy of Chandler; Weston McCoy of Anna, Texas; sister, Alta Linale of Alhambra, California; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and many other relatives.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Haskell Gallaher in 1985; her parents, one sister and two brothers.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. today at First United Methodist Church, Wellston, with the Rev. Kay Shock officiating.
Burial will be in Wellston Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Chandler.
