BETTY LOU FRIEND
1932 - 2010


Betty Lou Bishop Friend of Prague was born June 3, 1932, in Payson, Oklahoma and died Monday, September 27, 2010, in Prague at the age of 78 years.
The daughter of George L. and Minnie Ola Gentry Bishop.
She married Vallis Dale Friend on December 19, 1959, in Seminole, Oklahoma.
She was a graduate of Meeker High School and she retired from Morgan Well Service where she was the office manager. She was a member of First Christian Church in Prague.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; one brother, Jack Bishop; and one sister, Billie Bowen.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Tammy Sturdivan of Edmond, Oklahoma; her daughters and son-in-laws, Kay and Randy Bluethman of Edmond and Terry and Randy Terrell of Prague; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
She is also survived by her brothers and sister-in-laws, Ray and Delores Bishop of Edmond and Lloyd and Janevieve Bishop of Prague; her sister and brother-in-law, Mildred White of Springfield, Missouri; and Louise and Joe Flowers of Meeker; and other family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. today, September 30, 2010, at Prague Cemetery with Pastor Susan Payne officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Prague.
