DOROTHY JUANITA FRANKS
1924 - 2015


Dorothy Franks, a former Cushing resident, now of Fontana, California, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2015 in Alta Loma, California, at the age of 90 years.
The daughter of the late William M. Hood and Mary E. Hood, Dorothy was born on April 23, 1924 in the Avery area and was raised and educated in Cushing.
She was united in marriage to Vernon Franks on May 3, 1950 and to this union, one daughter, Nelda was born. He preceded her in death on August 14, 1979.
Dorothy was a member of the Water of Life Community Church; she enjoyed bowling and reading.
She is survived by her daughter, Nelda Heft; her grandchildren, Christina Baker and Randell Heft; her great-grandchildren, Ashley Baker and Abigail Baker; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers and four sisters.
Graveside services will be held Friday, April 10, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in the Flynn Cemetery, with Forrest Ladd, Jr., officiating.
