SAMMY JOE FORD
1964 - 2013
Sammy Joe Ford of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away on September 6, 2013 at the age of 48.
He was born on October 10, 1964 in Panama City, Florida to John Logan Ford and Emily Annette Holley Ford.
Joe was a pilot in the Army National Guard for many years.
He moved to Tulsa ten years ago where he worked the last fourteen years as a lifesaving helicopter pilot for Air Methods/Life Flight out of Jenks, Oklahoma.
Joe was preceded in death by his father, J. L. Ford and step brother Kenny Troupe.
He is survived by two children, Khyria Vires of Heartshorne, Oklahoma; Colton Ford of Wellston, Oklahoma; mother, Emily Annette Troupe; step father, John H. Troupe; brother, John Leslie Ford and his wife Sonja; step brothers, John Alan Troupe, John Paul Troupe and his wife Tivie; Brandon Troupe and his wife Ryan; step sister, Sabrina Case; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Joe will be greatly missed by many family and friends who loved him very much.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at the Lehman Funeral Home Chapel in Wellston, Oklahoma with interment following at Rossville Cemetery in Wellston.
