MARGARET A. FORD
1919 - 1998


Prague resident Margaret A. "Polly" Ambrister Ford died Monday at her home. She was 78.
Mrs. Ford was born October 11, 1919, in Prague to William E. Ambrister and Bertha Jelks Ambrister.
She graduated from Prague High School in 1937. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1941 with a degree in business administration. She was a member of Chi Omega Social Sorority and PEO. She had served as treasurer of the Prague Independent School District from 1967 to 1997 and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Prague.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Thanya Lee and Tony Corwin, Stafford, Virginia; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathaniel Ford on November 29, 1961; her parents; and her brother, Jack Ambrister.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Prague United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Powell officiating.
Burial will follow in the Prague Cemetery under the direction of the Parks Brothers Funeral Home.
