DR. DONALD ROGER FELTMAN
1925 - 2013


Dr. Donald Roger Feltman was born on January 15, 1925, in Toledo, Ohio, and departed this life on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 88.
Don, the son of Ralph H. and Anne Marguerite Ducluzeau Feltman, was a long-time resident of Prague.
His parents moved to Oklahoma in 1927. He graduated from high school in Pawhuska, proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and received his doctor of optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee.
He married Dorothy Riley on April 15, 1961.
Don operated a successful Optometry practice in Prague from 1953 until his retirement in 1990. He was a member of Prague United Methodist Church, the Lion's Club, the American Legion and the VFW.
He was a licensed pilot and enjoyed golfing, fishing, boating, camping and the farm north of town. Since their retirement, Don and Dorothy enjoyed traveling. One especially memorable trip was the Oklahoma Honor Flight, a trip for World War II veterans to visit the World War II memorial and other sites in Washington, D.C.
Don was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Lillian Watkins.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Dorothy Feltman of the home, sons and daughter-in-law, Roger Feltman of Oklahoma City and Ralph and Vallery Feltman of Prague, grandson, Colin Feltman of Prague, brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Gaye Feltman of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 22, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Rev. Scott Keneda officiating and Bro. Tim Emmons assisting.
Interment will follow at the Prague Cemetery.
