CLEO PEARL EADUS
1927 - 2008


Shawnee resident Cleo Pearl Cox Eadus, 81, died Thursday, October 23, 2008, in Shawnee.
She was born April 21, 1927, in Okmulgee to Cleve and Pearl Compton Cox.
Born in Okmulgee, she was reared in Bristow. Following her marriage, the family lived in California for a while before moving back to Oklahoma, living in Tulsa and Carney before moving to Shawnee in 1996.
In 1967, she married Bill Eadus in Las Vegas, Nevada. He preceded her in death in 1996.
She worked as a key punch operator, and later a data entry operator, retiring from the Department of Human Services. She was active in the Shawnee YMCA. She enjoyed quilting. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the focal point of her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and three brothers.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Charlene Smith of Newport News, Virginia; two daughters and one son-in-law, Linda Potts of Tulsa; and Pat and Jim Rollins of Shawnee; five grandchildren, Janelle Rann, Jeff Potts, Sarah Lasher, Holly Ramsey, and Alicia Wright; six great-grandchildren; and numerous friends and other family members.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p. m. today at Carney Cemetery with Chaplain Mike McCauley officiating.
