VIRGIL WAYNE DAVIS
1956 - 2014


Virgil Wayne Davis was born in Oklahoma City September 20, 1956 to Juanita Thelma Sweeden and Cecil Floyd Davis.
He passed away July 5, 2014 in Chandler at the age of 57.
Virgil started school in Oklahoma City and finished in Davenport where he spent the rest of his life.
He liked riding his motorcycle and fishing. After working as many as 10 hours he still had the heart to help someone in need with fixing their lawn mower or any other needed task as he was a hero to all who knew him.
Virgil never married but his family was his biggest priority. He touched many lives and had many, many friends.
Virgil was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Juanita; three brothers, Melvin Davis, Bert Davis, and Cecil Davis, Jr.
Survivors include his siblings, Betty Bryant of Duncan; David Davis and his wife Ruby of Duncan; Nina Davis and her husband Mac of Blair; Ken Davis and his wife Lori of Yukon; Joyce Mitchum and her husband Raydon of Davenport; Margaret Alexander and her husband Kevin of Agra; Michael Davis of Duncan; Angie Beavers of Duncan; Terry Davis and his wife Beverly of Wellston; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
A funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Davenport with interment following in the Davenport Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
