O. V. CRASS
1915 - 2013


O. V. Crass was born in Hickory, Oklahoma on November 2, 1915 and departed this life in Stroud, Oklahoma on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at the age of 97 years.
O. V. was the son of James Verner and Tempie Farmer Crass.
He was a resident of Stroud, Oklahoma for the past 50 years.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stroud, Oklahoma and retired from Kerr McGee Oil Company in 1980.
He married Pearlie Wilson in Ada, Oklahoma on November 26, 1938. She preceded him in death in 1997.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.
Survivors include one son and daughter in law, Carrol and LaDonna Crass of Stroud, Oklahoma, one daughter and son in law, Wanda and Leon Bagwell of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, four grandchildren and spouses, Kent Coleman of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Darla Fulton of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Gaye and Dean Melson of Chandler, Oklahoma, Kevin Crass of Stroud, Oklahoma, six great grandchildren, Abigayle and Myles Melson, Justin Coleman, Brandon and Bryan Wilson and Ambar Crass-Marrero.
Funeral service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Stroud on Saturday, Janurary 5, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Burl Mackey officiating.
Burial will follow in the Stroud Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, Oklahoma.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Memorial Fund, Stroud, Oklahoma in memory of O.V. Crass.
