CHARLES BERT CORNETT
1923 - 2013


Charles Bert Cornett was born in Stroud, Oklahoma on November 19, 1923 and departed this life at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma on January 21, 2013 at the age of 89 years.
Charles was the son of Rebel Burton and Bernice Mae Rowe Cornett.
He was born and raised in the Stroud area and lived his life there.
Charles was in the United States Army and served during World War II.
He was of the Baptist faith and worked as an oilfield driller for many years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Charles Randell Cornett, a grandson, Nicholas, his brother, Henry, his sister, Mabel and a number of other brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law, David and Carol Cornett of Stroud, Oklahoma, Richard Cornett of Sacramento, California, daughters and son-in-law, Sharon and Glen Hill of Stroud, Oklahoma, Bernice Mae Myers of Midland, Texas, brothers, Stanley and Herman Cornett, both of California, grandchildren, Sarah Hill and David Charles Cornett, Lora Shea and Donald Blake Miller, Kimberly Myers, Mark Myers, Christi and Billy Walker, Beth and Steven Place, Wyatt Hill and Johnny R. Hensley Sr., great-grandchildren, Austin Hunter Cornett, Adaleigh Shea Miller Meredith Blake Miller, Johnny R. Hensley Jr. Chantel Hensley, Joshua Walker, Jacob Walker and Jonathan Walker.
Services will be held on Friday, January 25, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Parks Brothers Chapel in Stroud, Oklahoma. Rev. Mike Mitchell will be officiating.
Burial will follow at the Kendrick Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, Oklahoma.
