ARKIE VIVIAN CORNETT
1919 - 1998


McLoud resident Arkie Vivian Taber Cornett died Saturday in Moore. She was 79.
Mrs. Cornett was born June 23, 1919, in Ozark County, Missouri to William and Emma Chrisp Taber.
She married Crawford Cornett on November 21, 1946 in Davenport.
Mrs. Cornett attended Davenport schools and was a homemaker.
She was of the Holiness faith.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Richard and Judy Suggs, Plentywood, Montana; Joe and Brenda Steffens, Moore; Carl and Joy Cornett, Shawnee; Darrel and Mary Cornett, Norman; Roy Cornett, Taft, Oklahoma; Bob and Anita {Ann} McCormick, McLoud; Crawford Cornett Jr., Moore; twenty grandchildren; twenty six great-grandchildren; brother, Fray Taber, Henrietta; sister, Stella Horner, Kingfisher; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; brothers, Charles and Bill Taber; sister, Margaret Struddle; son, Billy Suggs and grandson, Raymond Steffens.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Griff Henderson officiating.
Burial will be at Kendrick Cemetery, five miles north of Davenport.
