JOHNNY DALE COOPER
1953 - 2013


Johnny Dale "Jody" Cooper was born on October 30, 1953, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Thursday, December 12, 2013, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 60.
Jody, the son of Henry and Palmer Lee Cooper, grew up in Prague.
He attended Prague schools until his senior year, when he transferred to Paden and graduated with the class of 1972. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army and served overseas during the Vietnam era. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant. At the time of his death, he was a resident of Oklahoma City and was employed by the Maintenance Department of the Marriott Hotels.
Jody was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Larry Cooper, and sister-in-law, Pam Cooper.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Lara and Richard Donnell of Kingston; grandchildren, Aiden Ray and Gracie Donnell of Kingston; sisters and brother-in-law, Patsy and Don Gregory of Prague; and Angie and Jimmy Whisnant of Okemah; brothers and sisters-in-law, Glenn and Terri Cooper of Paden; Danny and Linda Cooper of Prague; Lyndel and Sheri Cooper of Prague; Bobby Cooper of Prague; and Jodie and Misty Cooper of Prague; sister-in-law and second mother, Billie Jean Cooper of Prague; special friend and "daughter" Melodie Anderson Goad of Earlsboro; many special nieces, nephews and numerous friends.
The Cooper family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 18, 2013, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 10:00 a.m., at Prague Cemetery in Prague.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
