ESTHER ELLEN COLLYAR
1919 - 2011


Esther Ellen Brown Collyar at the age of 92, of Cushing, Oklahoma passed away on Friday, the 28 day of October 2011, at the Linwood Village Nursing Center in Cushing, Oklahoma.
She was born May 22, 1919 in Sandia, Texas to Henry and Ethel Jackson Brown.
Her parents moved to Parkland, Oklahoma when she was three years old. She attended grade school at Parkland. Later they moved to Shamrock, Oklahoma where Esther graduated from Shamrock High School.
She was a member of the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn in Cushing, Oklahoma.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Henry and Ethel Brown; her husband, Clarence Collyar; and infant son, Wayne Eugene; three sisters, Helen Brown, Hattie Hausner and Rosemary Buckles; and two brothers, Charlie Brown and Leon Brown.
Esther is survived by two daughters, Loretta Johnson of Shawnee, Oklahoma; Shirley and husband Charles {Butch} Flatt of Bristow, Oklahoma; one son Leroy Collyar and wife Wendy of Noble, Oklahoma; one Sister Martha Penrod and husband Earnie of Farmington, New Mexico. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great grandson.
Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of the Palmer Marler Funeral home and will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1, at the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn in Cushing, Oklahoma.
Burial will follow at Parkland Cemetery.
